The Lladró story began back in 1953, when three brothers took a chance.
Juan, José and Vicente Lladró left their jobs in a local tile factory to build a small kiln in the courtyard of their family home, in Almácera, near Valencia, Spain. Their dream: to create porcelain; porcelain with a difference. Porcelain that speaks without words.
Today, the tiny Lladró workshop has expanded into a city – the City of Porcelain – where over two thousand Lladró employees work every day. Yet still, every Lladró piece is made and painted entirely by hand, with total commitment to quality, care…and, of course, art.
Every Lladró sculpture has its own story. Each piece speaks in its own, totally unique way. Maybe it’s the eyes, the colours, or the way it seems to say so much…without uttering even a single word. There’s something enchanting about Lladró. Which sculpture will draw you under its spell?
What a wonderful performance and what a very special little girl!
This “My Debut” figurine captures the magic of a ballerina’s very first performance on stage. From the way her delicately folded tutu frills around her pink bodice, to the way she clutches her first bouquet of flowers—each one a delicate cluster of individually formed petals—this dancer is very lovely indeed. Who knows what her next performance may hold, but for now, she is a star!
My Debut features:
- Made in Spain.
- Crafted by hand from quality porcelain.
- Hand painted and decorated.
- Sculpted by Miguel Angel Santaeulalia.
- Beautifully presented in a Lladró gift box.
