When Star Wars first hit cinemas in 1977, few could have predicted how it would change the face of the sci-fi genre – and perhaps the face of cinema as a whole.
The tale of Luke Skywalker and the Rebel Alliance facing off against Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, and the Galactic Empire is seemingly now a tale as old as time. The epic saga continues to expand captivating new generations with exotic worlds, captivating stories and new lovable characters. And now Royal Selangor has set about capturing this forever in their material of choice: pewter.
This extremely detailed collection has been crafted alongside the Walt Disney Company, which ensures accurate depictions of characters, vehicles, and much more. In the case of this Solo Frozen Container, it’s taken from a scene in the movie when the Corellian suffers freezing in carbonite by Darth Vader, only to be delivered as bounty to Jabba, where he becomes much prized interior decoration.
Reproduced in pewter, the lid features Solo encased in the carbonite matrix, the slab complete with its monitoring panels. Sized to accommodate business cards or writing instruments, the matt black bonded porcelain container draws from the film’s design language.
Star Wars VII Solo Container features:
- Official Star Wars merchandise.
- Cast in pewter with black bonded porcelain.
- Superbly detailed exterior.
- Store more Star Wars keepsakes inside, business cards or pens.
- Presented in a Royal Selangor gift box.
Dimensions: 17cm (l) x 6.5cm (h) x 7cm (w).
